FAQ

Are duties passed through at actual amounts?

Yes. Duties are billed at the exact amount assessed by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) — your quote covers freight, clearance and delivery, not the duties themselves. We also offer duty deferral plus a customs bond: you pay the duties you owe, defer the working capital you can, and cut costs the compliant way. We don’t under-declare and we don’t route around duties.

Who handles a customs examination?

Our US-side brokers (owned or partner) follow the examination end to end. If an exam-related cost stems from an error in our declaration, we cover it per the contract. Costs caused by the cargo itself (e.g., IP infringement or prohibited goods) are not included.

What are your actual transit times?

Three tiers: Express (Matson) 14–18 days, Standard 20–25 days, Economy approx. 45 days, measured origin to signed delivery. Peak season can extend these; the booking confirmation is the reference.

How do claims work?

Cargo damage and delay claims terms are written into the transport contract; amounts and liability follow the contract. Special pieces over 10 meters are assessed separately before quoting.

Do you under-declare or reroute cargo?

No. Truthful declaration is the floor — under-declaring “saves” duty you haven’t earned, and an exam means seizure, fines and back duties that land on you anyway. We help you pay what’s owed and save what’s legitimately saved.

T86 is gone — can I still ship small parcels?

Yes. With the T86 de minimis channel abolished, small-parcel direct mail is costlier and less predictable — many sellers are shifting to ocean consolidation (calculate per-unit landed cost first). We propose LCL/FCL plans based on your volume, with duty calculated on a true-declaration basis.

You cost a bit more than “cheap tax-included” quotes — worth it?

Look at the total bill. With 2026 enforcement tightening (T86 gone, mass examinations, return waves), cheap grey clearance under-declares to save duty — caught means back duties + fines + seizure, and the risk lands on the consignee. Our price includes compliant declaration + deferred duty + customs bond — predictable cost, saved the compliant way.
